1.) What Data Management is and how to implement it into their project workflows 2.) What NIH and NSF Data Management Plans require and how to prepare to write them 3.) What resources TTU offers for the fulfillment of Data Management Plans, including ThinkTech, Texas Data Repository, TTU Dryad, and the DMP Tool.

This workshop will introduce participants to what data management is for general projects and explain data management plans for federally funded grants. It will go over what data is, how to organize it, and how this management can fit into a project workflow. The workshop will go over the specific requirements for both NSF and the new 2023 NIH data management plans. It will also identify resources available to researchers at TTU including repositories like ThinkTech, Texas Data Repository, and TTU Dryad as well as plan writers like the DMP Tool.
