Fake News and Misinformation: How to Spot a Fake Workshop- Online - Jenni Jacobs, Erin Burns Online
Virtual- entirely web based live interaction, no face to face
1. Attendees will learn about what fake news is and how it affects their information literacy 2. Attendees will understand what misinformation is, how news sites and others use it, and how to spot fake news and misinformation
Have you ever run across a news article or journal article and thought that the information sounded sketchy? Worry not! With this workshop we'll be going over what fake news is, how to spot it, and be using active learning to show you how to use information literacy to spread better information!
