R for Beginners Session 1: Get started with R and RStudio
- Get familiar with RStudio interface
- Be able to install an R package
- Understand basic concepts and syntax of R
This is an introductory serial of workshops on R for participants with no prior knowledge of R or no programming experience. The entire serial takes around 8 hours in 4 sessions. This serial covers using RStudio projects for reproducible computation, basic R syntax, importing/exporting research data, the structure of data frames, as well as data wrangling and plotting.
