R for Beginners Session 2: Starting with data

  • Be able to assign values to objects, inspect and subset vectors
  • Be able to load external data from a .csv file into R (R data frame)
  • Be able to summarize and subset a data frame

This is an introductory serial of workshops on R for participants with no prior knowledge of R or no programming experience. The entire serial takes around 8 hours in 4 sessions. This serial covers using RStudio projects for reproducible computation, basic R syntax, importing/exporting research data, the structure of data frames, as well as data wrangling and plotting.
