AI Literacy: Search Engines and Databases Workshop- Online Only - Erin Burns, Jenni Jacobs, Joshua Salmans, Shelby Hebert Online

Online only- entirely web based live interaction, no face to face

1. Participants will learn which databases are developing generative AI 2. What a RAG is and how databases and other library search functions are incorporating it 3. How to use these generative AI models in the databases

This workshop is part 2 in a 4 part AI Literacy series. Many of the databases that you may be using (Web of Science, JSTOR, Scopus) are developing generative AI features. This workshop will discuss how search engines work, what adding generative AI has done to searching, and the interesting ways in which RAGs (retrieval-augmented generation) is being applied in the databases.

Registration for workshops closes two days before the event. You are welcome to email the presenters to get added to their list for the link.
