AI Literacy: AI “Information” and Misinformation Workshop - Online only - Erin Burns, Jenni Jacobs, Joshua Salmans, Shelby Hebert Online

Online only- entirely web based live interaction, no face to face

1. Learn to evaluate generative AI outputs so you can identify the material in “news” sources and social media 2. Definitions of misinformation, fake news, deep fakes 3. Deconstruct examples of how this information and misinformation is applied

This workshop is part 3 in a 4 part series. Generative AI has changed the way we view and consume information from all parts of the web—our databases, the search engines, and social media. This information landscape can be manipulated and misinformation, including fake news and deep fake videos. Many of us have seen images and videos that we think are real but are not. Come to this session to learn how to evaluate these materials, and deconstruct some examples.

Registration for workshops closes two days before the event. You are welcome to email the presenters to get added to their list for the link.
