Make Laser-cut Puzzles In-Person / Online

Make a laser-cut puzzle of your own design! Learn to use TinkerCAD and the Makerspace’s Glowforge Plus laser cutter/engraver to make a beautiful puzzle. Specifically, this workshop will involve more advanced modeling and design concepts within TinkerCAD (an online CAD program). The workshop will begin with a walkthrough for either creating an original puzzle design or importing an existing on in TinkerCAD before exporting them all for lasercutting. We will address pertinent vocabulary words and how to optimize a balance between TinkerCAD's strengths and weaknesses. Additional topics include Library and external resources, various tips and tricks to optimize TinkerCAD's performance, and best practises in lasercutting.
