SUMMARY:AI Competencies Part 5: AI\, Ethics\, and Social Justice Workshop- Online Only- Brian Quinn\, Esther DeLeon
DESCRIPTION:Participants will: 1. Gain a deep understanding of the ethical 
 challenges and social implications of AI technologies\, and how to design\, 
 develop\, and deploy AI systems responsibly. 2. Understand and apply key 
 ethical principles relevant to AI\, such as transparency\, fairness\, 
 accountability\, and privacy. 3. Explore strategies for ensuring 
 inclusivity and avoiding biases in AI development.\n\n \n\nThis is the 
 fifth of seven workshops in the A.I. Competencies Workshop Series\, which 
 features seven free online workshops addressing four foundational areas of 
 artificial intelligence competence: Knowledge & Understanding\, Analysis & 
 Evaluation\, Use & Application\, and Ethical Considerations. Ethics and 
 inclusion are key considerations in the development and deployment of AI 
 technologies. Learn how to recognize and mitigate biases in AI algorithms 
 and data and to evaluate and ensure fairness in AI systems\, including 
 demographic parity and equal opportunity. Understand the ethical issues 
 surrounding data collection\, storage\, and usage in AI applications. 
 Explore privacy-enhancing technologies and data anonymization techniques. 
 Examine the latest ethical frameworks for AI creators and 
 users.\n\nRegistration for workshops closes two days before the event. You
