True Crime Tuesday: A Chilling Fall Series
Every Tuesday this Fall Starting September 16th
5:30 pm to 7:00 pm CT
Online via Zoom
Presented by
Texas Tech University Libraries, Women's &Gender Studies, and The Humanities Center
Murder. Mystery. Misinformation. All semester long.
Join us online every Tuesday this fall starting September 16 for True Crime Tuesday 5:30-7, a themed discussion series diving into shocking, strange, and unsettling crimes—starting close to home and spiraling into the digital unknown.
Each month features a new theme:
🏫 September: Crime on Campus: 16th, 23rd, and 30th
Explore cases that happened at colleges and universities—including Texas Tech. We’ll examine real events that disrupted campus life and linger in institutional memory.
🎃 October: Creeps, Crime & Halloween: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Unmask the monsters. This month we dig into crimes committed around Halloween and the cultural obsession with fear, horror, and the supernatural.
💻 November: Crimes Online: 4th, 11th, & 18th
From catfishing to cyberstalking, we close the semester with true crime in the digital age. What happens when anonymity, obsession, and online culture collide?
Each session is free, open to the public, and held entirely online via Zoom. Whether you’re a true crime junkie or just curious about the darker side of culture, you’ll want to tune in every Tuesday.
