STEM Research Certificate: AI in Research Processes Workshop- Online only- Burns, Jacobs, Awasom Online
Onli1. Understand what is meant by "AI tool" in the research process 2. Describe some features of commercially available generative AI tools that *might* help with research
|
New workshop from the STEM Librarians and part of the STEM Research Certificate. This workshop will guide you through several commercially available tools that *might* help with your research. Several tools, like Rayyan and Connected Papers can be useful to understanding aspects of your research, while others are nothing more than plagiarizing machines. While the library does not subscribe to these and other similar tools, we will discuss the pros and cons of adding such tools to your research process. As more research about these types of tools comes out, it is important to understand the appropriate ways in which you might want to use a tool, and when you are probably just creating extra work for yourself by using one of the "tools."
