A Place for your Research: A Walk through of Texas Tech's Dataverse Workshop - Matthew McEniry

2-3 Learning Outcomes (based on ACRL Framework Knowledge Practices or Dispositions http://www.ala.org/acrl/standards/ilframework) :

1. Attendees will be introduced to what Dataverse is and how it fits into their research plans.

2. Attendees will be shown the capabilities of Dataverse and learn how to upload their data to it.

3. Attendees will become familiar with specific operations that will enhance their use of Dataverse.

Abstract : This workshop will introduce the Dataverse repository client that Texas Tech University Library possesses. Hosted by the Texas Data Repository (a part of Texas Digital Library), the TTU Dataverse is a small scale repository for research datasets. Anyone at TTU can create their own dataverse location and upload datasets to it. This workshop will offer a comprehensive walkthrough to participants and show them how to upload, publish, and describe their datasets.
