ANTH 3339- Griffith - Instruction - Brian Quinn - Library Lab 150 In-Person

Name:: Lauren Griffith

Course title and number: : ANTH 3339: Methods in the Study of Language & Culture
Department or College:: Sociology Anthropology & Social Work
Please select one (submit one form per each class):: Instruction - explore how to search the online resources and services of the library; normal time is between 45 and 80 minutes
What goals would you like to see achieved with this service?: Students will need to do a lit review as part of their research proposals and final papers and I would like them to have a better understanding of how to find *peer reviewed* material related to their topics. All too often they tell me "nothing has been written on my topic..." by which they mean they aren't coming up with any hits on the super-specific thing they typed into google...I want them to understand how to think more broadly about the related topics that would give them an appropriate background for addressing their topic of interest.
Estimated number of attendees:: 30
Academic status of attendees:: TTU Undergraduates
Requested date of session:: 09-13-2019 12:00 AM
Start Time: Please clarify am or pm.: 9am
End Time: Please clarify am or pm.: 9:50am
Comments:: I cannot remember if I submitted a request already...but I've shifted my dates for this course around a little. This is the ONLY library instruction session I'm requesting for ANTH 3339 in the fall. Thank you.
