What goals would you like to see achieved with this service?: On the recommendation of Rob Weiner, I'd like to request Jake Syma or Tom Rohrig for this session. The course topic is studies in film exhibition, i.e. movie theaters and related topics. The students will be doing an assignment where they will need to find newspaper listings of movie showtimes (and, if applicable, movie reviews or other articles or advertising related to film) in editions of the Lubbock Avalanche Journal from the 1950s to the 1970s. Other local newspapers could also be relevant. I'd like my students to have a tour and demo on how to use microfilm resources, and have an opportunity to try out the system and do some troubleshooting. I clicked "both" re: tour/instruction because I anticipate that few of them will have been to that part of the library before, but we don't need a full library tour.
