Cricut Basics Workshop - Sean Scully In-Person

Learning Outcomes:

Have a working grasp of beginner-level Cricut vocabulary (i.e. vinyl, stencil, group, merge, SVG, transfer tape, etc.). 

Be able to import drawings/pictures and perform basic design functions in .SVG format. 

Be able to compose an original complex design in Cricut Design Space. 

Educate students on Library Resources for designing. 

Abstract:

This workshop will provide participants with an advanced hands-on introduction to designing in Cricut Design Space.  Participants will receive a walkthrough on the basic methodology of designing and how to navigate the Cricut Design environment.  

The workshop will proceed with a walkthrough for using the Cricut Maker to design a vinyl sticker that can decorate a mug or cup. We will address vocabulary words and how to optimize your designs to suit the Cricut Maker’s strengths and weaknesses. 

The workshop will finish with ample time for experimentation and exploration of the concepts and techniques gained.
