Exploring Historical Databases to Aid Within the Research Journey Workshop - Amy Dye-Reeves In-Person / Online
Hybrid- both face to face and online webbased interaction
1) Each participant will identify, formulate, and solve problems using appropriate information and approaches to locate historical resources. 2) Each participant will utilize techniques, skills, and modern tools necessary for practice within the disciplinary field of history. 3) Each participant will evaluate evidence to determine and implement best practices within database retrieval.
The workshop entitled"Exploring Historical Databases for Aid Within the Research Journey" will provide participants with an opportunity to locate historical electronic resources within the Texas Tech University Libraries databases. The participants will learn how to extract and filter to maximize their overall experience using electronic resources for future papers. Each participant will have an opportunity to ask questions to help formulate their research inquiry for all future assignments.
