R Workshop for Beginners- Session 1 : Introduction to R - Jingjing Wu, Cynthia Henry In-Person / Online

Hybrid- both face to face and online webbased interaction

- Be able to create R projects using RStudio for reproducible research. - Be able to assign values to objects, solve simple arithmetic operations, and call functions. - Be able to inspect, manipulate, and subset vectors as well as analyze vectors with missing data

This is an introductory serial of workshops on R for participants with no prior knowledge of R or no programming experience. The entire serial takes around 8 hours in 4 sessions and covers using RStudio projects for reproducible computation, basic R syntax, importing/exporting CSV data, the structure of data frames, handling factors, as well as data wrangling, analysis, and plotting.
