a) Identify relevant Library resources related to political science and public administration including federal depository, databases, Document Delivery, Personal Librarian, Library webpage, etc. b) Understand the basics of legislative research at the federal and Texas state level. c) Understand the basics of locating statistics including demographic, governmental, etc.

This workshop is for both undergraduate and graduate Political Science/Public Administration students to give a basic overview of the University Libraries resources available for all aspects of their research. Library services such as Personal librarians, Research guides, workshops, document delivery, etc. will be covered. Students will be provided the basics of doing legislative research at both the federal and Texas level. Students will also get an overview of statistical resources for demographic research, researching governments, etc. Students will receive information on the major databases related to political science and public administration and their use.
